Kiara is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who sees clients of all ages throughout their lifespan and has worked in a variety of different treatment areas and locations since embarking on her career. She grew up right outside Washington D.C. and she completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Pittsburgh. Kiara completed her nursing degree from the University of Miami, and obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Rush University in Chicago.
Prior to joining Bella Jace, Kiara has 10 years of experience working with patients in the emergency department setting who have struggled with mental and physical ailments. Additionally, she has worked in the private practice setting primarily focusing on mental health care and psychedelic medicine. Kiara is a strong patient advocate and aspires to provide the highest quality care to all of her clients.
Kiara offers a holistic, trauma-informed approach to mental health care that focuses on the unique needs and strengths of the individual. By engaging in a person-centered approach, Kiara prioritizes the individual’s autonomy and self-determination and emphasizes empathy, genuineness, and growth. In addition to providing medication management services, Kiara has a special interest in psychedelic medicine and its application in the treatment of anxiety, depression, addiction, and trauma disorders. She has an intimate knowledge and understanding of ketamine, and offers ketamine-assisted psychotherapy as well as pre-treatment and post-treatment consultations to optimize treatment outcomes.
Kiara recently moved to Nashville with her husband, dog, and two cats. When she is not at work, she enjoys exploring her new city, finding the best gluten free restaurants, listening to podcasts, and she is a huge book worm. She is excited to join the team at Bella Jace and looks forward to collaborating with her clients to meet their treatment goals.
